Accounts with unpaid balances will be subject to a 4.5% late fee beginning June 2025. To avoid paying late fees, please pay your bill in full. If you need bill payment assistance, please call 562-570-5000 or look through our utility assistance programs.

The current utility rates are broken into six user categories:

  1. Single-family Residential
  2. Duplex Residential
  3. Multi-family Residential
  4. Commercial
  5. Industrial
  6. Irrigation 

Long Beach Utilities' Cost of Service and Rate Study Report includes the development of potable water, recycled water and sewer rates that are both fair and consistent with Proposition 218 based on the most current industry information available.
